3D Environments

As a young boy I used to endlessly doodle 3D cubes and letters. Since then, I’ve always been fascinated by presenting information in 3D. Unfortunately, some information that should be presented in 3D is instead done in 2D. This can cause confusion or frustration for some people.

This problem inspired me to write a successful proposal for a $25,000 grant from the BCCampus project to develop a 3D learning environment on the basics of CNC technology and machine tools.  I hired and managed a team of two programmers, one 3D animator, and one web designer to complete the project.  If you have Windows, you can download the free 3D learning environment by visiting the project’s website here.
